Home Grown based out of Atlanta, GA is a one of a kind place. I personally had the shrimp and grits from there, but I wont say to much about that and will let you experience it for your self.
Here is a little bit about this one of a kind hole in the wall.
At Home Grown, much like in the name, they use only locally grown product, fresh ingredients, and make some wonderfully delicious food...but lets be honest that has all been done before.
Here is where it get's interesting. Mix all those ingredients together cook em' up, and an INCREDIBLY LOW price to it all. They have cracked the code for good cooking and a low price. Lisa Spooner, who used to be a teach, and Kevin Clark, known fine dining chef have created the "next-gen" meat and three in Reynoldstown a vibrant community in east Atlanta. Their hole in the wall restaurant offers a bright spot that stands out in a drab strip of Memorial Drive in the center of the working-class Atlanta. It not only makes the area feel better, but you as well as soon as you taste the wonderful concoctions they have waiting for you.
Home Grown is creative with a scrumptious breakfast selection and a beefy brunch menu on the weekend. It has already become my favorite neighborhood restaurant when in the area. Hands down a mandatory stopping point when passing through, no matter the day. A good meal to keep the gears turning, and that is certainly something they offer the ATL community.
